Volunteers and community members joined our annual reforestation campaign, planting 10,000 indigenous trees.
Over 300 volunteersâincluding students, farmers, and local government officialsâparticipated in TEI's annual tree planting campaign in Kilimanjaro Region, successfully planting 10,000 indigenous tree seedlings.
The campaign focused on restoring degraded watershed areas and creating community-managed woodlots that provide sustainable fuelwood sources. Each participating village established a tree nursery to ensure ongoing reforestation efforts.
Environmental education sessions accompanied the planting activities, reaching 1,500 community members with messages about climate resilience and sustainable land use.
